Create Privacy-first, End-to-End (E2E) Encrypted Flutter/Dart Solutions

This is not a hackathon. This is an unhackable-thon. Build ideas that cannot be hacked and help us with our vision of a world where every ‘thing’ is secure and private. ZARIOT and The @ Company have joined forces to enable you to build the best solution using End-to-End Encryption to secure IoT devices and Apps. Win up to $5,250 in prizes for developing a solution that brings true digital privacy to the Internet of Things.

We are excited to sponsor this hackathon as it is only through collaboration and partnerships that truly secure ecosystems can be created. This hackathon speaks to our vision of driving innovation and developing opportunities to foster innovation and partnerships. It is an excellent opportunity for students and developers to showcase their skills in a friendly, supportive environment. In addition to the cash prize, the winning apps will feature on the ZARIOT website, creating a great reference to embark on a successful career in a quickly developing sector. Winners will also receive mentoring from ZARIOT in the presentation of their ideas.

ZARIOT’s partnership with The @ Company is built from mutual recognition that collaboration is key to security and innovation.

For those who thrive on coding challenges and programming challenges, this hackathon 2021 is for you!

The Challenge of the Hackathon:

Identify online problems and scenarios in today’s world that you are passionate about, ones that would be greatly improved by better privacy and security.

Develop solutions that prioritise End-to-End Encryption, so that only people or entities involved in the information exchange have access to the data, and there is no snooping, surveillance, or data storage of any sort without the data owner’s consent.

Solution should have:

  • End-to-End Encryption enabled by default
  • Interoperability across platforms
  • Clean, intuitive interface and app experience
  • Usability and fun should not be compromised for the sake of privacy and encryption
